Artist in Residence Blog - Taking Inspiration from Ruskin and my Next Open Studio

Posted 8th April 2014
Watts Contemporary Gallery

My work this month has been very much inspired by the drawings and photography of Ruskin, whose exhibition continues in the gallery.

His attention to detail and love of the outdoors have both given me food for thought in my drawings and collage. I'm also continuing to explore the use of stereoscopy, starting with images of the Watts estate, and in particular Chapel and surrounding woods.

My next Open Studio is on 10th April from 2-4pm, when I will be very pleased to talk to visitors about my work. Spring is definately in the air at Watts with flowers blooming everywhere - so it's a great time to visit!
