Watts Contemporary Gallery
I like to take banal, functional, everyday objects and imagary as the subject of my art. I carry around a disposable camera in order to record and work from the sorts of things and scenes that are encountered in daily life. Sometimes the resulting images can be of universal, shared experiences, and sometimes the idiosynchrasies of individual experience can add a level of absurdity to a usually mudane scene or series of images. At the moment I'm lucky enough to be working from a rather majestic, Greco-Roman-looking, radiator in my studio at the gallery!
