The logo for Watts Gallery
The logo for Watts Gallery rather naturally evolved from Watts's great sculpture Physical Energy. Its outline shows off its great conception and dynamic form that has made it such an engaging yet fresh image. At some point in the gallery's history, possibly in the 1920s, a weather vane was created for the gallery in the shape of the famous horse and rider. Unfortunately the original has decayed quite badly and a new one has been made following the design of the original. It has been gilded and placed back where the original told the wind direction for over half a century on the top of Watts Gallery.
