The Snowy Road Home

With the snow here in Compton, the landscape looks beautiful and incredibly inspiring. It makes me think about the effect that the landscape had on Watts and all the scenes he painted of the Surrey landscape (albeit mainly in the summer, where everywhere looks so different!). Packing up the Big Issues exhibition, one image by Sue, an ex-offender who took part in the Big Issues workshops at HMP Send, also sticks in my mind. Its her painting of a journey she took one winters day in Oxford, in the snow.
