At Watts Gallery - Artists' Village we support Kids in Museums and offer free family trails and resources every day of the week. Our imaginative programme of events has something for families with children of all ages.

Visit the Artists' Village today to explore the galleries, discover Watts Chapel, play games on the lawn and relax in The Tea Shop. Bring the whole family for a full day of creativity and culture.
Admission for children 16 and under is FREE. Adult admission is half price on Tuesdays.
Eating and drinking
Families are welcome at The Tea Shop which offers fresh seasonal food, high chairs and a delicious children's menu. There are also many scenic spots for picnics around the Artists' Village.

Accessible toilets are located at Watts Gallery, The Tea Shop and Watts Studios.

To help young children explore the collection and site in a more tactile way, free family trails are available every day to help you explore the Artists' Village together through drawing, challenges and games.

Pushchair and wheelchair access
Watts Gallery and Watts Studios are fully accessible. Please note the galleries are split across different levels which can be accessed via a lift. Pushchairs can be taken into the gallery spaces or can be left in the loggia at Watts Gallery or in the Foyle Lobby at Watts Studios.
Watts Chapel is located at the top of a steep hill, accessed by a cobbled path which can be a barrier for pushchairs.
Watts Contemporary Gallery can be accessed via stairs from the Visitor Centre. There is currently no lift access.
The Tea Shop and Visitor Centre are fully accessible.
Children in the galleries
To ensure the safety of the artworks, we ask all visitors to refrain from touching paintings and sculptures in all gallery spaces. At Watts Studios there are two interactive touch tables that can be explored by all family members. Please ask a steward if you are unsure.
Black folding portable stools are available for use at both Watts Gallery and Watts Studios. Wooden benches are situated throughout the outdoor areas around the Artists' Village.
