Adult Art Course: Portrait Drawing with Jane Allison

Work in-depth and concentrate on exploring the essential skills necessary to produce a traditional portrait. Working with reference to the exhibition G.F. Watts: Hall of Fame you will begin with a succession of exploratory sketches with a view to making a start on a more major work to be completed over the course of the next few weeks. There will be an emphasis on accurate drawing, which is a pre-requisite for a good likeness, and the need to constantly revise and revisit decisions made.
Jane Allison is based locally and her portrait commissions include HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.
Basic drawing materials provided. Those wishing to work in pastel please bring your own with appropriate supports ie. pastel paper.
This will be the first drawing workshop to be held in Great Studio.
