Booking information & Visit Preparation

Gallery Led Sessions at the Chapel and Outreach

Gallery led sessions need to be booked at least two weeks in advance. Sessions cost £3.50 + VAT per child and accompanying adults are free for a 1 ½ - 2 hour session. Minimum group size 10, maximum 40. This includes an artist to work with you, paper, clip boards and drawing materials for practical activities. If you cancel a gallery led booking, there is a cancellation fee.

Self Guided Group Visits to the Chapel

Self guided school and college visits to the Chapel are free of charge, but need to be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Ratios

We required the minimum of 1 adult per 10 children for group visits

Toilet Facilities

You will find a male and a female toilet at the top end of the car park, near to the tea room. There are no toilets at the Chapel.

Lunches

We do not offer a lunch room, facilities.

Parking

Mini buses and coaches can drop off at the Gallery car park or the Chapel, but need to be parked at Artington Park and Ride.

Visit Preparation  

We strongly advise teachers to make a planning visit and welcome telephone enquiries to discuss your requirements for a group visit. We can also visit you at your school to discuss possible activities. See the Learning Resources pages for images and information to assist you to introduce your group to Watts Gallery and the session you will be taking part in before your visit.

Booking checklist

It is helpful to have the following information to hand when you contact the Gallery to make a booking:

1. A selection of dates that your group is available for a visit or outreach session
2. Preferred start and finish times
3. Number of children and year group, as well as information about any special educational needs
4. Session theme
