The ethos is fresh, English, seasonal food sourced as locally as possible, made on the premises and served by friendly, well informed staff. There will be a daily selection of freshly baked homemade cakes and scones and we are making all of our own jams and chutneys. We are also serving superb coffee, freshly-ground for each cup and a variety of speciality teas.
Watts Gallery Welsh Rarebit is on the menu as is homemade seasonal soup, freshly made sandwiches and toasties, salads and ploughman's.
Please check our blackboards as we introduce a range of specials for lunch.
The Tea Shop is led by a team headed up by Compton resident Emma Palmer. Emma has run her own cake and catering business as well as being a professional artist.
Her assistant Cook Manager is Val Goddard who runs her own business making homemade jams and chutneys. She lives locally and is a passionate believer in sourcing food locally and in season.
