Try The Tea Shop if you want really good home cooked food. Open every day from 10.30am to 5.30pm it is next door to the Gallery, small and friendly with seating outside for when the sun shines. The food is prepared on the premises, you can get sandwiches, cooked lunches, scones and wonderful cakes. Please note this is a separate business to Watts Gallery and any enquiries should be made directly to the Tea Shop

The Harrow Inn is in the village and serves a wide range of bar food and restaurant meals. There is outside seating and a beer garden. The food is very good and the service swift.

The Withies is also in the village but situated on the outskirts as you drive through Compton towards Godalming. It is a low-ceilinged, timbered pub with a great garden at the front and lots of seating. In the evening the place is lit up by hundreds of fairy lights in the trees and around the cloistered seating outside. There is an extensive restaurant menu as well as a bar menu. It is very good food and the service is excellent.
