Hope with apologies to GFW - Phil Disley

Hope with apologies to GFW - Phil Disley

Phil Disley - Hope with aplogies to GFW

Following its publication in The Guardian on 14 January 2009 we are delighted that the artist, Phil Disley, has created a limited edition signed print of his cartoon depicting Barack Obama as Watts's Hope.

The print is in an edition of 500 numbered copies, each hand signed and titled by the artist and blind stamped with the Watts Gallery Limited Edition mark.

In the spirit of 'art for all' and the history of large edition prints of Hope the artist has generously agreed to make the edition just £25. All proceeds from the print will benefit the Watts Gallery Hope Appeal.

The print is both a celebration of the importance of Watts's painting and a capturing of the historic moment of Barack Obama becoming President of the United States of America.

The link between Obama and Watts's painting Hope has now been covered by every broadsheet newspaper in England as well as the television networks Al Jazeera and Bloomberg. The print is sure to sell quickly so you are encouraged to act quickly.
