How to Find Us
The Gallery’s nearest railway station is Guildford which is a large train station that
is well linked to London and other nationwide services. Trains between Waterloo
and Guildford leave approximately four times per hour every day. You can use the National Rail or Traveline website to plan your journey to the Gallery by rail.

During the roadworks (until the 24th of March) the bus will be stopping at the Compton end of Down Lane and will not be travelling directly to the Gallery.
The 46 bus runs from Guildford town centre directly to the Gallery. It runs once an hour between 9 am and 6pm from Mondays to Saturdays. The bus leaves at five minutes past the hour from Stand 5 from the bus station outside the Friary Centre.
Alight at the bus stop directly outside the Gallery. The journey is around ten minutes long.
To get to the bus station from the train station walk towards the town centre, the bus station is signed. You can return to Guildford by the same bus on its return journey, it stops outside the Gallery at forty two minutes past the hour between 9am and 6pm.
Alternatively you can get a taxi from the station. The journey is around 10 minutes long. There are metered cabs which wait outside Guildford station, or, see below for local taxi numbers:

Watts Gallery is located along the North Downs Way; a National Trail of 153 miles
which is easily accessible from Guildford station. Much of the trail follows the historical Pilgrims Way, running from Farnham through Surrey following the line of the North Downs until it reaches the Kentish border, where it continues on to Canterbury.
The Gallery is also located in the heart of the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding
Natural Building (AONB). The OS coordinates for Compton are SU958468.
There is a looped walk starting from Watts Gallery that can be followed to Loseley
House, a beautiful stately home nearby. There are a number of different paths that
can be taken within this loop; all are signposted footpaths or bridleways. The path
along the North Downs Way includes views of the Hogs Back and South Guildford.
There are some hill stretches but these are not steep.
Watts Gallery is located along National Cycle Route 22, which can be picked up
from Puttenham and Guildford. Watts Gallery has two sheffield stands for secure
bicycle parking in its car park.
Compton is easily accessible by car as it is signed just off the A3 south of Guildford.
Take the B3000 from the A3 signed to Godalming/Farnham (brown tourist signs to Loseley House) and then Compton. After the roundabout at the end of the slip road take the first left on the B3000, this is Down Lane. The Gallery is on the right a few hundred yards down the road.

There is no coach parking on the Watts Gallery Estate.
All coaches must be pre-booked and park at Loseley Park once they have dropped off their group at the Gallery.
