Winsor & Newton Watts Painting Prize

Winsor & Newton Watts Painting Prize is a reflection of Watts Gallery’s commitment to supporting the development of new artists drawing on G. F. Watts and Mary Seton Watts’s vision. The prize is awarded annually to a graduate of the University College for the Creative Arts, Farnham, whose choice of subject matter and use of innovative working methods are in the spirit of the Watts’ artistic legacy. The prize was founded in 2004 as part of Watts Centenary celebrations, and the former winners have included Tristan Brooks (2004), Kevin Wells (2005), Sandy Curry (2006) and Anna Readman (2007).
