Until 31 August 2016
Watts Gallery – Artists' Village has joined forces with GCSE Art students from Kings College Guildford and professional artist Becci Kenning to design Pilgrim, a cow inspired by the art of G F and Mary Watts for the world's biggest public arts event.
Joining Pilgrim is Daisy, a cow designed by renowned English artist and illustrator Sir Peter Blake.
These life-size exhibits, part of Surrey Hills' CowParade 2016, will be on display at the Artists' Village until September when they will be herded along with the other CowParade cows to the inaugural Surrey Hills Food, Drink & Music Festival at Coverwood Farm on 3 September.
The cows will be exhibited, judged and auctioned off for charity with the profits for Pilgrim being shared between the Artists' Village's The Big Issues project and the Surrey Hills Trust Fund, which supports local community projects that benefit and enhance the Surrey Hills landscape. Profits from Daisy will benefit the Community Foundation for Surrey.
