Join Laura Hetherington for a professional development workshop for teachers and all outdoor educators. Take away inspiring ideas to engage pupils in active learning and to encourage their interest in the natural world.
Creative Ideas for the Outdoor Classroom will:
- Provide a range of practical ideas that can be employed to develop learning skills when using the outdoor classroom
- Extend professional understanding of the importance of outdoor experiences for children
- Support creative planning and cross-curricular approaches to delivering the curriculum
- Help you to raise levels of achievement for your pupils
The course will be led by Laura Hetherington, a highly creative and motivated arts-in-education specialist. With over 20 years experience of education at grass roots and strategic levels, Laura has experience from Key Stages 1 to 4 as well as a wealth of experience of leading training sessions, facilitating workshops, directing theatre, telling stories and developing learning strategies. She is passionate about bringing the natural world to life and reconnecting people with nature in creative ways.
