Curator Picture Talks - Clytie

This ten minute talk will introduce the mythological figure 'Clytie', as known as 'sunflower'. Clytie was produce in both sculpture and painting form, both of which are life-sized and it is unknown as to which was produced first. The painting represents awkwardly positioned limbs and a head in 'lost profile' to give the impression of an uncomfortable transition; a very interesting portrait of discomfort yet beauty.
