Commemorate the end of WWI
Sunday 11 November, activities free with admission
Visit us today, 10m - 4pm, to remember the end off WWI 100 years on. Hear live poetry readings in the gallery, see over 250 terracotta poppies made by local people and make one to contribute to the display.
Join us for two minutes silence in the Isobel Goldsmith-Patiño Gallery as we reflect on the cessation of hostilities 100 years on from WWI at 11am.
Hear the Fayrfax Consort perform commemorative music by Renaissance composers including Purcell, Alonso Lobo and Victoria in the beautiful setting of Watts Chapel between 11.30am - 1pm.
Please note that space is very limited, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Remembering Evelyn De Morgan as an artist of peace, Dr Richenda Roberts will speak about a new De Morgan display including Evelyn's ration book and a sketch for her painting, 1914, at 2pm.
Make terracotta poppies in the Foyle Pottery Studio, between 12 - 4pm.
Drop-in to the Make Space to make a felt poppy badge between 10am - 4pm.
