Make volunteering your
New Year's resolution
As thoughts turn to 2020, why not make volunteering at the Watts Gallery – Artists' Village your New Year's resolution?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Watts community, allowing us to continue the Art for All legacy established by our founders, G F and Mary Watts. Our diverse team of stewards help to give our visitors a warm welcome across the site, making sure they enjoy the story of the Wattses.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering offers the opportunity to make new friends, learn more about how the Gallery works and support the charitable work we do to transform lives through art. We run regular social events for our volunteers, including craft afternoons, day trips, tours and summer and Christmas parties. We'll support you to get the most from your volunteering experience.
What to Expect
Our volunteer recruitment open mornings are a chance for you to come along and find out more about what volunteering at Watts Gallery – Artists' Village involves and meet some of the current team.
You'll be given training to support you in the role, with all volunteers starting as stewards to familiarise themselves with the site and our collection. Once you've completed your initial training, there are other volunteering opportunities you can get involved with, including:
Volunteer Gardener
Events Volunteer
Workshop Volunteer
Volunteer Guide
Visitor Centre Volunteer
Minibus driver
To find out more about joining the team, come along to our first volunteer recruitment events of the New Year on either Thursday 9 January at 2pm or Saturday 18 January at 11am.
