Watts Gallery – Artists' Village is recruiting a new Artist in Residence

Watts Gallery – Artists' Village is dedicated to promoting the work of G F and Mary Watts and re-establishing the Artists' Village as a centre for artistic culture and practice. This includes our Artist in Residence programme, for which we are now recruiting an artist or maker working with watercolour to take up residency in our studio from November 2017 to February 2018.

This residency will run alongside our autumn exhibition: Helen Allingham, a showcase of work by the celebrated 19th century watercolourist, who was the first woman to be admitted as a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society in 1890.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right artist or maker to build their public profile, develop engagement skills, establish new contacts and create a new body of work in our studio. The selected artist will also be involved with our Public Engagement programme, providing workshops for community groups, schools, families and adult learners.

For further information and to apply, see the job description on our Careers page or contact learningcoordinator@wattsgallery.org.uk.
