An exhibition of work by Dr Jennie Jewitt-Harris, Watts Gallery - Artists' Village's Artists in Residence for 2014-15, opens tomorrow. Works include intricate sketches and humorous vintage-inspired collages that clash in a riot of colour. Focussing on subjects such as the passage of time, what it means to be British and the psychological implication of memory, Jennie creates art with a social conscience.
Supported by the University for the Creative Arts, the Watts Artist in Residence scheme offers recent postgraduates support to find inspiration from the Artists' Village, it's surroundings, collection and rich history.
Jennie's work will be on display in Watts Contemporary Gallery from 16 June - 19 July. The exhibition is free to enjoy, and all of Jennie's works are for sale.
