Artist in Residence Open Studio: Mary Branson
Free with admission
Surrey-based artist Mary Branson is best known for her large scale conceptual light sculptures and installations, particularly the iconic 'New Dawn' 2016 sculpture in the Houses of Parliament, which celebrates the centenary of the Suffrage movement. This is the first permanent piece of contemporary abstract art in the Palace of Westminster.
Mary will be creating work in response to Moonscapes, our exhibition exploring visions of the Moon from the nineteenth century to the present day.
Please note: Mary will be in her studio on Thursday 13 June instead of Wednesday 12 June.
