Join Richard Ormond CBE for a private tour of the first major UK exhibition of watercolours by the Anglo-American artist, John Singer Sargent. Great-nephew of the artist and an acknowledged expert of his work, Richard is co-curator of this exhibition described by the Financial Times as 'a triumph and revelation'.
The artworks on display include a 1911 The Lady With the Umbrella (pictured above) which was recently identified by Richard's co-curator, Elaine Kilmurray, as Sargent's niece Rose-Marie Ormond, painted elegantly sprawled in a white dress in the dramatic cropped composition typical of his watercolours. This painting has never been exhibited in the UK.
