Life Drawing for Young People - Online
Thursday 22 October | 6 – 8pm
£10 | Friends £9 | Ages 13-18 years
Course Leader: Rachel Mercer
This online workshop is for young people who want an introduction to life drawing or those who want to learn more. Receive guidance on technique, proportion and learn the basics of anatomy, drawing from a partially clothed life model. Experiment with new approaches to mark-making and explore creative ways to show form and consider composition.
Rachel Mercer is an experienced life drawing tutor and advocate for introducing young people to the discipline. Since 2014 she has taught life drawing (with nude or partially-clothed models) to 10-18 year olds at the Royal Drawing School. She graduated from the RDS post-graduate programme in 2013. Rachel is a practising artist who uses the figure in her work.
Please be aware this event takes place online on the Zoom video conferencing platform. You will need to register (free) in order to take part. If the participant is under 16 this must be done by an adult.
