Glyndebourne Backstage Tour
Tuesday 25 February, 8.45am
£20 including refreshments and transport,
leaving from Watts Gallery – Artists' Village
Join us for a private tour of Glyndebourne, East Sussex, one of the finest and most celebrated opera houses in the world, delivering performances to some 150,000 people across a summer Festival and an autumn Tour.
Led by a knowledgeable guide, this 90-minute walking tour will visit the theatre, backstage, Production Hub, dressing rooms, archive, rehearsal spaces and the historic Organ Room. A unique opportunity to hear from Glyndebourne chairman (and grandson of the founder) Gus Christie and learn more about the theatre's history, see glorious wigs and costumes close up, as well as stand on an iconic stage.
A table has been booked at The Ram Inn in nearby Firle for luncheon after our visit, payable on the day.
