About the artist...
Helen Locke graduated in Graphic Design (Illustration) at Liverpool John Moores University, going on to achieve a Masters in Narrative Illustration from Brighton.
Locke has taught in a variety of further education and community settings and completed a year-long Residency at Ochre Print Studio during 2018. She used this time to document the people who use the studio and their materials - from rollers to print racks - with her work making its way onto a series of paper and fabric aprons, which were exhibited at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre during Surrey Artists Open Studios in June 2019.
