What to expect from us

Our social media presence is focused on sharing stories and news from Watts Gallery – Artists' Village. This includes our collection, our history, our learning and engagement programme, contemporary art and what’s going on around our site.

We post on our social channels between 3-7 times in a normal week. We are usually active on our social media accounts Monday - Friday, 9-5, during these hours we will reply, interact and moderate our channels. Our posts are sometimes scheduled to post outside of these hours. As a team we monitor posts outside of usual hours, but this is not always guaranteed.

We try to respond to enquiries and comments promptly. At busy times it may take a few days to respond to everyone, so please be patient.

If we see content that doesn’t follow our social media house rules, we will hide these comments. This policy applies to all digital activity, including live streamed talks and events.

Some of our staff use social media to talk about their work at Watts Gallery – Artists' Village. These accounts are managed by individuals and as a result, we cannot guarantee the same presence you can expect from our official accounts. Information shared by our staff on their personal social media accounts reflects the views of the individual and may not represent the views of Watts Gallery – Artists' Village.

We love to see what you have posted during your visit to Watts Gallery – Artists' Village. We use the hashtag #WattsGallery to see your posts. Sometimes we share your images on our own channels. We will not edit your images and will always credit you if you are featured.
