Watts Gallery - Artists' Village is located in the village of Compton near Guildford, Surrey.

There are various ways to get here including by bus, train or car.

It's easy to reach us by train, bus, bike or foot. Help us cut carbon and traffic if you can. Please note there will be roadworks at M25 Junction 10 and nearby A3 until Summer 2025. Visit the National Highways website for further information and please plan your journey accordingly.
The M25 will be shut between junctions 9 (A243 Leatherhead) and 10 (A3 Wisley) from 9pm Friday 10 May to 6am Monday 13 May 2024. This full closure is to install a new bridge.

By bus

The 46 bus runs from Guildford (Friary Bus Station, stand 5) directly to Watts Gallery - Artists' Village (Compton - Watts Gallery). The bus runs once an hour between 9am - 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.

By train

Guildford, Farncombe and Godalming train stations are all a short journey away from Watts Gallery - Artists' Village.

From the station, you can walk, take a taxi, or there's a direct bus from Guildford town centre.

By bike

Watts Gallery - Artists' Village has a number of secure bike racks available for cyclists. Brompton bicycles are available to hire from Guildford station.

We are also located along the National Cycle Network, Route 22.

By foot

Watts Gallery is on the North Downs Way National Trail. There’s also a looped walk from the Gallery to nearby Loseley Park (about 1 mile).

By car

Free parking including Blue Badge spaces are available at Watts Gallery - Artists' Village until 5.30pm each day.

There are car parks on both sides of our site, at Watts Gallery and Limnerslease: Artists' Home, follow the parking signs on your arrival. There is a short walk of approximately five minutes between the two sides of our site.

Please note that there is a short uphill walk to Limnerslease. Visitors with access needs can be dropped off at the top of the road before parking, please ask at the Visitor Centre for more information.

By coach

Coaches can drop off and pick up groups at the Visitor Centre. There is designated coach parking a short drive away.

Please ask your coach driver to turn off their engine when picking up and dropping off.
