Works on Paper at Historic Galleries
Join Penelope Hines, Collections Curator for a talk on a selection of works on paper from the collection. We will examine how looking at works on paper enhances our understanding of paintings by George Frederic Watts. As well as the considerations for displaying works on paper in the gallery space.
Woodwork and Furniture at Limnerslease
Join Penelope Hines, Collections Curator for a 30-minute tour at Limnerslease. The Arts & Crafts home of George Frederic and Mary Watts, was designed by Ernest George (1839-1922). This tour will focus on the surviving late 19th century woodwork and furniture, with some discussion of the lost interiors. This is an informal session, with the opportunity for discussion and questions.
