Step into the lush woodland estate of Watts Gallery for an immersive guided nature walk exploring scent in the landscape, followed by a delightful floral themed mocktail. This special summer event invites you to engage your senses - sight, smell, and taste - as we celebrate our current exhibition, Scented Visions: Smell in Art 1850-1915.
As you meander through the estate, Chris will introduce you to the botanical aromas found in the landscape, from the earthy fragrance of ancient trees to the delicate scents of wildflowers and herbs. Discover how plants communicate through scent, how fragrances change with the seasons, and how some of these natural notes inspire art.
After the guided walk, members are invited to enjoy a delicious, floral-themed mocktail on the Limnerslease lawn.
Please note that this tour takes place outside. Part of the tour will include walking on uneven ground and there will be some walking on a slope. Sensible shoes are recommended.
