Friday 9 June

9.30 - 10.30am

Join us for a private tour of After Impressionism: Inventing Modern Art, with exhibition curator and internationally renowned art historian, MaryAnne Stevens. Our former Chair of Trustees, MaryAnne, is a specialist in nineteenth-century art who has curated major international loan exhibitions at the Royal Academy and within museums, galleries and heritage sites across the world.

After Impressionism: Inventing Modern Art studies the years between 1886 and the beginning of the First World War. These years focus on artistic breaks from established patterns and traditions, paving the way for modern art in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

This tour will be held before the National Gallery opens to the public, and will be followed by refreshments.
