Volunteer with us

Do you want to be part of something great in your community and make new friends whilst immersing yourself in the surroundings of the galleries, gardens and woodland? We are looking for people keen to explore a new opportunity to join our team.

At the moment, over 250 people help us in all sorts of ways, from welcoming visitors to tending the gardens or supporting curators in looking after our historic collection. Volunteers have always been a central part of what makes Watts Gallery Artists' Village, even more so in current times. As an independent charity your contribution could help us to continue to open our doors and run our programmes.

How we are looking after your safety

We are working in line with Government guidelines to keep all of our volunteers and visitors safe whilst on site. We have increased cleaning, introduced one-way systems and limited capacities in all indoor spaces. Volunteers and visitors must wear a face covering whilst inside our indoor spaces (we have masks, gloves and visors on hand for anyone who would like them). Visitors are asked to check-in to the Test and Trace scheme using the NHS QR code and there are hand sanitisation stations around site. We have a contactless entry system and daily volunteer briefings are given in open air when weather allows or at a safe social distance in poor weather.

Volunteering can also boost your wellbeing. You can meet likeminded people, recharge your creativity in the changing exhibitions, take a pause in the woodland or treat yourself with your volunteer discount in the Teashop!

To find out how to join the team contact Ellen Denison on 01483 813 580 or email ellen.denison@wattsgallery.org.uk

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us.
