What do you like about working for Watts Gallery - Artists' Village?

As someone who lives in the village of Compton, Watts Gallery is the perfect opportunity to share on a local level my love for nature and history.

What's the best part of your job and why?

What I find interesting is how my own knowledge is expanded from feedback and stories from others, particularly through working with our volunteers. Some of our volunteers have incredible knowledge of the gallery. I love having the chance to develop this and find opportunities to expand my knowledge.

What does being a Watts employee mean to you?

To me, George and Mary Watts were radical free-thinking individuals who tried to better the lives of people through creativity. I love applying creative thinking myself and challenging the norm.

One of Watts Gallery's mottos is 'The Utmost for the Highest'. This says it all, to do your very best. Being a Watts employee is part of this heritage and intention - to use creative thinking to find opportunities to spread this ethos.
