The STAR project is part of the Waverly Federation, an Alternative Learning Provision in Surrey for secondary school students who benefit from alternative support, which provides participants with the opportunity to achieve Bronze Arts Awards. The STAR project serves Broadwater, Glebelands, Rodborough and Woolmer Hill Schools. Pupils spend one day a week for six weeks at Watts Gallery - Artists' Village, working with an artist and our Learning Team. Taking inspiration from the collection at Watts Gallery – Artists' Village, young people are supported to achieve a Bronze Arts Award.
This year's highlights:
• 14 STAR participants achieved their Trinity College London Bronze Arts Award.
• Designing and screen printing a collection of colourful tea towels for the Limner Collection, inspired by the patterns found across Watts Gallery – Artists' Village.
