About Saturday sketch: slow gaze in nature

Saturday 27 April

10.15am - 12.30pm

Join artist Anna-Marie Garrett for mindful drawing outdoors in the Gallery grounds and woodland. Ground yourself through breath and being with flora, fauna and fungi, then enjoy a short, guided meditation in the landscape, weather permitting. The class then flows into warm-up sketches and longer drawings. No previous drawing experience is necessary, the workshop focuses on the process of sketching to build mindful connections to non-human nature in slowed time.

This is an outdoor workshop so please remember to dress for the weather and woodland. All sketching materials will be provided and there will be a short break for refreshments, with a selection of herbal and fruit teas available. If you have a yoga mat please bring it along and anything else you may like such as a blanket or cushion. There are a few yoga mats available to borrow if required.
