At Watts Gallery - Artists' Village we support Kids in Museums and offer free family trails and resources every day of the week. Our imaginative programme of events has something for families with children of all ages.

To help young children explore the collection and site in a more tactile way, free Family Trails are available every day to help you explore the Artists' Village together through drawing, challenges and games. Creative workshops and special events for families run throughout the year and you can join us every Sunday in the Make Space.

Children in the galleriesTo ensure the safety of the artworks, we ask all visitors to refrain from touching paintings and sculptures in all gallery spaces. At Watts Studios there are two interactive touch tables that can be explored by all family members. Please ask a steward if you are unsure.
Toilets and baby change facilities. Accessible toilets are located at Watts Gallery, The Tea Shop and Watts Studios. Baby change facilities are located in the toilet block outside The Tea Shop and at Watts Studios.
Folding portable stools are available for use at both Watts Gallery and Watts Studios. Wooden benches are situated throughout the outdoor areas of the Artists' Village.
Pushchair and wheelchair access. Pushchairs can be taken into the galleries at Watts Gallery or left in the loggia. There is space to store pushchairs in the Foyle Lobby at Watts Studios. Watts Chapel is located at the top of a steep hill and accessed by a cobbled path, which can be a barrier for pushchairs. There is currently no lift access to Watts Contemporary Gallery. The Tea Shop and Visitor Centre are fully accessible.
