Grounds

Surrounding our site are 18 acres of grounds and gardens to explore.

The landscape in Compton, Surrey was a huge source of inspiration for George and Mary Watts. We welcome you to discover it for yourself and get inspired.

Walk around our woodland and see our gardens during the changing seasons. Visit our wooden auditorium, Bench 1, for a sit-down, surrounded by nature.

Discover historic monuments such as Mary Watts's Celtic Cross. Then follow the winding path up to Limnerslease. You can also play in our Verey Playwood, enjoy a picnic and spot many different types of wildlife.

Watts Gallery - Artists' Village is close to the North Downs Way and Pilgrim's Way. Our Tea Shop is the perfect refreshment stop for walkers and cyclists.
