Limnerslease: Artists' Home

Limnerslease is the historic home and studios of our founders, George and Mary Watts.

Built in 1891, Sir Ernest George designed it in the Arts & Crafts style. The couple hoped that this house would bring a new lease of creative life.

When visiting you can see the recreation of George’s studio. He painted many of his artworks here. You will also discover more about Mary, as an artist, designer and writer.

You can also find out about Mary and George's life in Compton. Visit some of the rooms in their Surrey home, which feature unique decorative features by Mary.
